Position is Chumphon Pinnacle (OpenStreetMap), the best-known site. Wikipedia records seasonal whale sharks at Chumphon Pinnacle, Southwest Pinnacle and Sail Rock; Crystal Dive also reports sightings at Shark Island. Wikivoyage says there is a small chance of seeing one on any dive. The specific months are not given by the sources opened, so ask the dive shops for recent sightings. Never touch or chase a whale shark, and keep yachts slow and well clear of the dive sites.
