Koh Similan Lighthouse
8° 38.0′ N · 97° 38.9′ E
The major light on Koh Similan that guides overnight passages from Phuket and Thap Lamu into the group.
Practical
Charted as Fl 20s, nominal range 17 M (OSM seamark data). The Southeast Asia Pilot says it is reliable and visible from about 15 nm on an overnight passage. Use it to time a dawn arrival at the Donald Duck Bay anchorage; do not enter the anchorage in the dark, because it is full of moored dive boats and unlit coral heads.
Best for
Landfall for night passages from Phuket
