A small islet off Tarutao's southern tip that shelters the Ao Talo Udang anchorage and marks the deep passage south toward Langkawi.

Position: OpenStreetMap islet 'Ko Pa Nan' (เกาะปาหนัน, GNS). Southeast Asia Pilot: anchor in 5 m just west of Koh Panan off Ao Talo Udang, NE season only; the passage between Koh Panan and Koh Belitung Besa (OpenStreetMap: Ko Lae Tong) is 32 m deep throughout, with current to about 2 kn at mid-tide. Ko Plaplang is mapped just north (6.52995, 99.69549). The Malaysian border and Langkawi lie a few miles south: do not land in Malaysia without clearing.
