6° 29.1′ N · 99° 18.4′ E

Lipe's immigration point only runs while the Langkawi ferries do, roughly mid-October to mid/late May, and works office hours — time the 25 nm hop from Langkawi to arrive on a weekday morning.

Practical

Season: Wikipedia and Noonsite say international clearance and the Langkawi ferries run mid-October to mid-May; kohlipe.my shows the 2026–27 ferry season from 15 October 2026, with Kuah ferries to 16 May 2027 and Telaga ferries to 31 May 2027; Wise (March 2025) said the 2025 season ended 30 May and restarted in October. Outside the season, there is no clearance on Lipe: clear at Satun (Tammalang) instead. Hours: Yachts In Transit (April 2026) gives the immigration and customs post as 8:30am–4:30pm and says yachts clear in both directions there; a November 2024 Noonsite report (see the Immigration and Customs entry) says the normal fees apply Monday–Friday 8:30am–4pm only, with overtime charged at weekends, after hours and on holidays. Ferries land at Pattaya Beach in front of Bundhaya; expect queues of ferry passengers late morning and early afternoon (kohlipe.my: Thai clearance takes about an hour). Malaysia is one hour ahead of Thailand (Wise). The Tarutao park fee (200 THB per foreign adult) is collected separately. Verify the current dates with the operators or immigration before relying on them.
