The bars and cafés packed between Haad Rin's two beaches, from the Drop In fire-show bar on Sunrise Beach to the cliffside Mellow Mountain, are the heart of the Full Moon Party but open year-round.

Position is the Drop In Bar on Haad Rin Nok (OpenStreetMap). Wikivoyage: Drop In is a large beach bar with cheap cocktails, fire shows and commercial dance and house music; Mellow Mountain is a laid-back cliffside bar at the end of the beach reached by stairs; Cactus Bar plays R&B and pop; Club 9 is the island's largest indoor club. For food, Little Home (open-air, reasonably priced, very hard to get a table on Full Moon night), Om Ganesh (Indian, next to the ferry pier), Casanostra (Italian, near the 7-Eleven) and the 24-hour Same Same Burger. Haad Rin Nok is exposed to the east; land the dinghy at Haad Rin Nai on the west side in NE winds.
