Snorkel· Koh Phangan· Thailand
Haad Khom (Coconut Beach)
9° 47.9′ N · 100° 1.0′ E
A quiet cove just east of Chaloklum with soft white sand, clean water and some of the best snorkelling on the island, plus the trailhead for the jungle walk to Bottle Beach.
Practical
Position from the Wikivoyage map marker. Wikivoyage: the water is very shallow along the shore at low tide, so snorkel at mid-to-high tide; only around five small resorts. Reach it by dinghy from the Chaloklum anchorage or by a 20-minute walk east on the steep concrete road. The 2–3 hour coastal trail to Bottle Beach starts at the end of the concrete road.
Best for
Snorkelling by dinghy from Chaloklum
