Bangrak Tour-Boat Jetties (fuel and water by arrangement)

9° 33.8′ N · 100° 3.5′ E · approximate

The cluster of wooden and concrete tour-company jetties in the eastern part of Bangrak Bay, where Southeast Asia Pilot says fuel and water can be arranged, the nearest thing Samui's north shore has to a fuel dock.

Practical

Approximate position, derived as the midpoint of the Bangrak shore between the Petcharat jetty (OSM, 9.56001, 100.05602) and the Bangrak fresh market east of the Seatran pier (9.565, 100.06219); no single fuel dock is mapped. Southeast Asia Pilot (Bangrak page): several wooden and concrete jetties in the east of the bay are run by tour companies, and fuel and water can be arranged there; larger quantities of fuel can be pre-arranged with the PTT station near Bophut, or bought by jerry can at the west end of Bophut village. The Pilot also notes the large concrete ferry pier in the southwest corner is deep enough to go alongside, but it is a working ferry pier. There is no posted fuel price or fuel-dock schedule: ask the jetty operators a day ahead and verify the price locally. The bay is 2-4 m on sand and mud, so check your draft at low water before coming alongside.
