The main mainland car-ferry terminal for Koh Chang, west of Laem Ngop, and the quickest road connection between the island and Trat airport or Bangkok.

The Southeast Asia Pilot says the car ferry runs 7am–7pm from Thammachat Pier to Ao Sapparot, taking about 30 minutes. Thai National Parks says car ferries from two mainland piers north of the island run 6am–7:30pm daily, year-round; the other pier is Centrepoint, mapped by OpenStreetMap at 12.1891N 102.3676E. Use it for crew changes and trips to Trat for parts, the hospital or customs.
