Koh Chang's car-ferry landing on the north coast, where ferries from Ao Thammachat on the mainland arrive. It is the island end of every road trip to Trat, the airport or Bangkok.
Practical
The Southeast Asia Pilot says the car ferry runs 7am–7pm from Thammachat Pier to Ao Sapparot, taking about 30 minutes. Thai National Parks says car ferries from two mainland piers run 6am–7:30pm daily, year-round. Shared taxis to Salak Phet run from here (iamkohchang). It is not a yacht stop, so anchor in Ao Khlong Son and take a taxi.
