Twin Barges Wreck Dive
4° 36.0′ S · 55° 25.5′ E · approximate
Two barges deliberately sunk in February 1989 that now form an artificial reef at 12-23 m, home to crocodilefish, stonefish, leaf fish, moray eels, octopus, porcupinefish, schooling jacks and golden trevally.
Practical
Exact wreck positions are not published by the operators; the coordinate is a derived point in open water about 0.8 km off Beau Vallon bay (checked against the OSM coastline), shared by the Beau Vallon wreck entries, and is NOT the wreck. A 'normal distance' Big Blue Divers site (about 15 minutes by boat from Mare Anglaise). At 12-23 m it is the most accessible of the three Beau Vallon wrecks and suits newly qualified divers on a guided dive. Dive only with a licensed local dive centre.
