Dredger Wreck Dive
4° 36.0′ S · 55° 25.5′ E · approximate
A dredger sunk on purpose in October 1989 at 18-26 m, famous for a huge resident school of yellow snappers plus groupers, guitar sharks, turtles, white-tip reef sharks and seasonal whale sharks.
Practical
Exact wreck positions are not published by the operators; the coordinate is a derived point in open water about 0.8 km off Beau Vallon bay (checked against the OSM coastline), shared by the Beau Vallon wreck entries, and is NOT the wreck. A 'normal distance' Big Blue Divers site (about 15 minutes from Mare Anglaise); the operator warns there is often some current, so expect a descent on the line. Advanced-level depth. Dive only with a licensed local dive centre.
