Northwest monsoon season (La Digue anchorages)
4° 22.0′ S · 55° 51.1′ E · approximate
From December to March the northwest monsoon is lighter but wetter and flips the sheltered side: Anse Cocos on the southeast coast becomes usable, and La Passe's harbour wall takes the weather.
Practical
Point placed at Anse Cocos, which The Moorings says is well protected in northwesterlies. SeyVillas: the La Passe dock has a dam to protect against the often stormy northwest monsoon. Moorings' NW-season week: Ste Anne, Anse Royale, Baie Ste Anne, Coco islands and La Passe night, then the Sisters.
