Denis Island Bird Conservation Walks
3° 48.4′ S · 55° 40.0′ E · approximate
Denis is the only place where a morning walk can turn up all four of the rare endemics translocated here: Seychelles magpie robin, paradise flycatcher, Seychelles warbler and Seychelles fody.
Practical
Nature Seychelles moved 47 fodies from Frégate and 58 warblers from Cousin to Denis in 2004 (Wikipedia). The resort runs guided nature tours, early-morning turtle-track searches and bird conservation walks, and giant tortoises roam the island. Access depends on landing permission from the resort. Coordinate is approximate: island centre from the OpenStreetMap outline.
