Sidney's main street runs uphill from the waterfront and has everything a crew needs before heading into the islands: a large supermarket, liquor stores, pharmacies and cafes. It is easy to walk from Port Sidney Marina.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM point for Thrifty Foods Sidney, the largest grocery store near the waterfront (about 800 m from Port Sidney Marina). Liquor, hardware, chandlery and many cafes are within a few blocks. The public Beacon Wharf at the foot of Beacon Avenue is for short stops and the summer foot ferry to Sidney Spit. Stock up on water and fresh food here: most park anchorages in the southern islands have no drinking water.
