Royal Cove (Portland Island)
48° 44.1′ N · 123° 22.3′ W
A small cove on the north side of Portland Island, sheltered from the south and facing Satellite Channel. It fits only a handful of boats but is a pretty spot to stern-tie and walk the island trails.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM bay. Room for roughly six to eight boats in summer; arrive early. Stern-tie rings on shore and a Parks Canada dinghy dock (free for day use). Good in southerlies, but BC Ferries wash from Satellite Channel can make it rolly, and it is open to the north. No buoys, water or garbage service. Chart 3476/3441.
Best for
Short stop or quiet night in southerly weather
