Russell Island (Fulford Harbour entrance)
48° 45.0′ N · 123° 24.6′ W · approximate
A small national park reserve island at the mouth of Fulford Harbour, with a dinghy dock and a short walking loop. It makes a pleasant lunch stop or a quiet night in settled weather.
Practical
Position is approximate, off the north-west side of the island. Room for about a dozen boats in 5-10 m (16-33 ft) over rock and gravel; holding is fair, so set the anchor well. Parks Canada dinghy dock (free for day use). Exposed to wash from the Swartz Bay-Fulford Harbour ferries and to southeasterlies down Satellite Channel. No camping, water or garbage service. Chart 3478/3441.
