Princess Cove (Wallace Island)

48° 56.5′ N · 123° 33.2′ W

The larger of Wallace Island's two anchorages, a narrow cove with many stern-tie rings and good protection from southerlies. BC Parks calls it Princess Bay.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM cove. Stern-tie to the rings in the cove; boats can also anchor without a stern line just north-west of the entrance. Octagonal dinghy dock. Good shelter from southerly winds; less so in strong northwesterlies. Trail to Chivers Point at the north tip, about 8 km (5 miles) return. Pit toilets; walk-in campsites at Chivers Point, Cabin Bay and Conover Point; no water; no fires. BC Parks bans dumping sewage or grey water while moored in its marine parks. Charts 3442/3463.
