Desolation Bluffs and Sarah Point

The rocky corner where Malaspina Peninsula meets Desolation Sound. The view from the bluffs takes in the Sound, the Coast Mountains and the islands. A qPAWS trail hut at Sarah Point marks the north end of the long-distance Sunshine Coast Trail.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM viewpoint node; Sarah Point itself is about 0.5 nm to the west. Reach it by landing from a boat in calm weather (BC Parks has a small Sarah Point kayak campsite) and walking the trail. There is no anchorage at the point; anchor in Feather Cove or come by dinghy. Open to wind and swell from the west and north-west.
