Rosario Point Anchorage (Batangas)
13° 38.0′ N · 121° 11.7′ E
A sand-bar-protected mud anchorage on the Batangas coast east of Batangas Bay - a NE-monsoon staging stop for boats working the Verde Island Passage from the east.
Practical
Position: hackingfamily 13 37.95N 121 11.72E, 15 ft mud, Globe and Smart 4G (April); table note 'NE season only'. Hackingfamily: no real obstructions entering or leaving; come in as close as you can to get as much protection from the sand bar as possible; ENE winds tended to die at night, replaced by an offshore breeze and a very comfortable night. Verde Island Passage currents are strong - the flood sets south-east, so head west on a falling tide (hackingfamily). Malabrigo Lighthouse (OSM 13.59882N 121.26248E) is the nearby coastal light to the south-east.
