Puerto Galera's signature drift: drop in near Hole in the Wall and let the current fly you down a slope into three sand-floored reef canyons full of jacks, batfish, sweetlips and snapper, finishing at an old 1.5 m Spanish anchor embedded in the reef.
Practical
PADI position 13.52443N 120.99372E. Depth 22-32 m; the third canyon bottoms at about 30 m and the slope falls past 40 m on all sides (PADI; Underwater Photography). Strong current - advanced divers with a local guide; best on a decent incoming tide (Scandi Divers), and nitrox recommended. The canyons give shelter to rest; ascent and safety stop in blue water - carry an SMB. Occasional eagle rays, tuna, whitetips; mantas, threshers and hammerheads reported. Dive-boat traffic is heavy off Escarceo Point - do not anchor; go with a Sabang operator (about 6 minutes by boat).
