Liloan Bay Anchorage (Cebu)

A small bay on the Cebu coast north of Mactan with a market and a commercial slipway; Webb's guide rates its south-west corner a good anchorage in the SW monsoon.

Practical

Approximate position offshore of Liloan town (OpenStreetMap town node 10.3999°N 123.9988°E) in the direction of the bay's SW corner; check depths on arrival. Webb (2009): good anchorage in 12 ft (3.7 m) in the SW corner during the SW season; it may be possible to take a yacht or two up the Liloan River at high tide to the road pier on the right just before the bridge, where water and power can be organised. Do not confuse with Liloan near the Panaon Strait (Southern Leyte) or Liloan port at Santander (south Cebu). Liloan suffered heavy loss of life in the November 2025 Typhoon Kalmaegi floods.
