Cebu Yacht Club (Mactan)

A small breakwater-enclosed marina on the north-west shore of Mactan, tucked just north of the Marcelo Fernan bridge and a walk from the airport. It is the only yacht club in Metro Cebu and the usual place to land a dinghy, clear in, or leave a boat while you fly out.

Practical

Noonsite position 10°19.83'N 123°58.63'E (the Soggy Paws compendium lists an older 10°18.98'N 123°57.51'E; the OSM marina outline matches Noonsite). Small: about a dozen visitor berths (Screensaver, 2017), Med-moor to side piles and back onto the pontoon - locals will help, tricky in a cross-wind. Noonsite (Sep 2019): marina usually full, many large commercial boats, docking 6,000-7,000 PHP per month; earlier reports quote 4,000 PHP for the first ten days then 5,000 PHP for the next seven (2011) - verify locally. Fuel by a very long hose that reaches every berth; a 2021 report says berthed boats were charged a 5% surcharge on diesel and provisions carried in from outside. Water very restricted - buy 5-gallon bottles inside the marina (30 PHP each, verify locally). Power has frequent brownouts. No VHF - phone +63 32 340 2939 or message the club's Facebook page; Noonsite asks for a notice of arrival 3 days ahead. Small gate fee (20-100 PHP) on goods brought through, refundable against a drink at the bar. Club restaurant/bar, simple showers, WiFi, accommodation and a small chandlery on site; Broadwater Marine and Hyde Sails are close by. Club usually closes around 7:00 pm, later on Saturdays after the afternoon barbecue. Anchorage water is polluted and gets wash from ferries and noise and dust from the adjacent dry docks.
