Easy boat dives on sloping coral and boulder reef around Daku, with juvenile banded sea snakes, stingrays, barracuda, morays and a small cave occasionally visited by sharks.
Practical
Approx: pin offset to the east side of Daku from the OSM island outline (Lakwatsero dived 'Daku Island East' and 'Daku Island South'). Divable year-round; the dive report called late summer the best time (calmer, better visibility). Other Siargao sites named by Lakwatsero: Blue Cathedral (rated the best, farther away), Casulian, Pilar Twin Rocks, Shark Point, Puyo, Seeco Reef, Antokon. Dive operator example: Palak'a Siargao Dive Center in General Luna (2014 rate PHP 1,800 per local dive incl. gear and boat - verify locally). Banded sea snakes are venomous - don't handle.
