A day anchorage off the western beach of Daku, the largest of General Luna's hop islands, where fishing families grill your catch on the sand - and where the expedition ship Coral Adventurer brought passengers in 2023.

Approx position: about 500 m west of Daku's western boat landing (OSM ferry node at 9.74108N 126.15406E), plotted from the OSM coastline and reef mapping and checked to be in water about 490 m off the nearest coast and about 430 m from mapped reef. No published depth or holding figure was found. Reef patches are mapped north-west and north of Daku (OSM relation 9821616) - do not cut the corner between Daku and the Siargao shore; approach from the west in good light. Land the dinghy on the western beach where the bancas land. Seafood is sold by the kilo and cooked for you; entrance reported PHP 100 per boat (2019, verify locally). The island-hopping GPS trace (OSM way 332247179) runs Naked Island - Daku - Guyam inside the outer reef. Coral Adventurer called at Daku Island in November 2023 (TIN/PNA). Exposed to SW winds in the habagat; the outer reef breaks NE swell.
