Coron Port and Coast Guard Station

11° 59.5′ N · 120° 12.7′ E

The municipal port at the east end of Coron town, where the 2GO and other ferries berth and the Philippine Coast Guard station sits beside the ferry terminal.

Practical

Coast Guard Station Coron is mapped in OpenStreetMap immediately next to the Coron Port ferry terminal. Yachts are expected to register with the nearest Coast Guard station on arrival and obtain departure clearance for each inter-island leg (see the area file's entry_and_clearance); arrive on a weekday and carry crew list, boat papers and last-port clearance. The Coast Guard can hold small craft in port during small-craft advisories: Cruising World's crew were told at Linapacan they could not leave until an advisory lifted. Coron is NOT a customs port of entry. Fuel stations (Filoil) sit just behind the port. Ferry wake and ro-ro traffic make the port itself a poor place to anchor.
