Coron Point Anchorage (Coron town east)
11° 59.4′ N · 120° 13.0′ E
A small bay just north of Coron Point among the bangka moorings, a quieter alternative to the main town channel with a beach landing inside the breakwater.
Practical
RCC/Plainsong (2025): 11 59.4N 120 13.0E, tucked into the little bay N of Coron Point near the bangka moorings, south of Paula Fresh Fish Buyer; the South China Sea pilot's spot is slightly further out at 11 59.31N 120 12.88E. Mud; buoy your anchor because the bottom may be foul. Land on the little beach inside the breakwater in the N corner of the bay; a gas station and purified-water store are on the route into town, and a tricycle makes the short trip. Plainsong found the channels less daunting than the pilot suggests, especially from the S and E, where the channel is wide and has IALA buoyage. RCC lists three anchoring options at Coron: here, the channel south of town (about 11 59.7N 120 11.9E) and Dicanituan/Discovery Bay.
Best for
A calmer town stop on the east side
