Carnaza Island
11° 30.9′ N · 124° 5.8′ E
The northernmost island of Daanbantayan, 10 miles north of Malapascua: small coves, white-sand beaches, limestone pillars, caves and arches, and an islet with a canal into its centre that a dinghy can enter at half tide.
Practical
Solita (2012): coves on the western side are large enough for good anchorages; best visited in fair weather as currents and tides flush through and seas can be confused. Main village on the SW corner; limited electricity and no internet then. You can circumnavigate by dinghy in under an hour; good snorkelling on soft and hard corals. Dive operators from Malapascua run day trips here. No logged anchoring coordinates - approach with satellite imagery.
Best for
A remote fair-weather detour north of Malapascua
