Neptune's Finger and Sand Falls (Cabo San Lucas)
22° 52.7′ N · 109° 53.8′ W · approximate
A vertical wall dropping into the Cabo San Lucas submarine canyon, with the marine park's largest sandfall - rivers of sand pouring over the edge into the abyss, first filmed by Jacques Cousteau.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: placed off the bay side of Land's End near Lover's Beach; dive with an operator who knows the moorings. Dive Cabo: intermediate to advanced; reef starts shallow then drops steeply; ray cleaning station; turtles, groupers and sometimes schools of mobula rays. Middle Wall (sheer vertical drop) connects to the sandfall near Pelican Rock; North Wall is a beginner-friendly rocky slope where seahorses have been seen in summer. Peak diving season September-November with water about 80 F (Visit Los Cabos).
