Manchones Reef
21° 12.1′ N · 86° 43.6′ W
A broad, shallow reef (Manchones Grande and Chico) off the southwest side of Isla Mujeres, home to the Manchones gallery of the underwater sculpture museum - an easy, fishy dive or snorkel.
Practical
Coordinate is the Manchones MUSA gallery from Wikipedia. Depths about 3-6 m (10-20 ft) per the MUSA article. Part of the national marine park (Polygon 1, which also lists El Farito, La Cadena and the nearby Cave of the Sleeping Sharks). Most visitors go with a licensed dive shop from Isla Mujeres or Cancún (MUSA 2026 dive price from Isla Mujeres US$157); check park rules before visiting by private boat, and never anchor on coral. Current can run along the reef.
Best for
