Los Candeleros Pinnacles
25° 45.1′ N · 111° 14.4′ W
Two volcanic rock pinnacles standing off the coast south of Isla Danzante—'a popular day-sail target with strong underwater topography and excellent visibility'.
Practical
Coordinate is the GeoNames 'Islote los Candeleros' point (on the rock itself—stand off). Dive or snorkel from the dinghy in calm conditions; currents and swell wrap around the rocks. Inside Loreto Bay National Park: no anchoring on reef structure, use a park mooring where one exists, and carry your park bracelet (MX$215 day pass in 2025).
Best for
Wall-and-pinnacle diving a short hop from Puerto Escondido
