La Quebrada Cove Day Anchorage (Acapulco)

16° 50.8′ N · 99° 55.1′ W · approximate

Anchor off the cliff-divers' cove and watch the clavadistas plunge into the surge channel from your own cockpit: a memorable, if rolly, evening stop just outside the main bay.

Practical

Approximate: placed about 210 m (700 ft) west of the divers' landing below the OSM La Quebrada viewpoint (16.8461, -99.9156), matching S/V Some Tuesday, which anchored in 55 ft of water about 700 ft from the landing point in February 2026; a diver swam out to the boat for a tip. Open to the Pacific swell: daytime and show-time only in settled weather, then return to the Vicente moorings, La Marina Acapulco or Puerto Marqués. Shows at 1pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm (Wikivoyage; verify locally).
