Hassler's Cove, a tiny crescent on the south-east side of the extinct-volcano island off San Quintín, tucked behind a low natural breakwater of volcanic boulders - one of the very few spots on the outside of Baja with shelter from south wind.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: derived from the OpenStreetMap island outline, placed inside the hook formed by the south-east spit; verify on a chart. The Log: small and sometimes crowded with aquaculture buoys, so the last boat in may have to anchor just north of the sandspit opening; gives shelter from moderate south wind, and as a storm passes north the island's two 500 ft peaks give more lee. Big storm seas from either side can overtop the low breakwater. Avoid Ben's Rock, a submerged rock presumed about 2 nm due south of the island that breaks occasionally. Island is in the CONANP Pacific Islands reserve - carry the Conservation Passport. Uninhabited (Wikipedia); highest point 125 m. 9.5 nm to Cabo San Quintín.
