Belcher Point Anchorage (Mag Bay)

A triangular spit 3 nm inside Mag Bay's entrance - the site of an old whaling station, later a phosphorite loading dock and fish-drying racks - where boats anchor on whichever side gives the lee.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: placed just north of Belcher Point (GeoNames 24.585 N 112.073 W); anchor on either side of the spit depending on wind (The Log). The north side is one of The Log's three best storm shelters in north Mag Bay. Smelly when the fish racks are in use. Man of War Cove, 6 nm further north, has the village and more room.
