Bahía La Salinita (Isla Espíritu Santo)
24° 29.3′ N · 110° 18.3′ W
A quiet bay beside a lagoon on the east side of Espíritu Santo with no cars or foot traffic - calm water when the Coromuel blows, and sunrise lighting up the canyon.
Practical
Position: Online Cruising Guide map pin. Anchor in 20-30 ft, sandy bottom, good holding even in Coromuels; sea state very calm then although wind funnels through the gap over the island. Protection from N and W, but stronger northers wrap waves around the rounded point. Dark patches on the northern edge are rocks with growth, not grass - avoid. Rocky shore with urchins; no good dinghy landing. Give the headlands room on approach. Inside Archipiélago Espíritu Santo National Park: every person aboard needs the daily CONANP bracelet (225 MXN/person/day on the CONANP page) or an annual Conservation Passport.
