Booking listings (Cursos de Buceo, checked 2026) show a one-tank island excursion Monday to Saturday with full gear, boat, divemaster and drinks included. They require PADI, NAUI, SSI or equivalent certification (or a completed Discover Scuba session). Instruction is in Spanish and the ratio is 1:4. Listed prices vary: Discover Scuba is MX$1,080, and the one-tank excursion is shown as '210' with the currency unclear, so confirm before booking. A February 2015 diver review placed the shop beside the El Cid hotel. It charged USD 80 for one tank and USD 120 for two at the time (verify locally), with dives scheduled at 10 am before the wind gets up. The center is mainly a surface water-sports business. Nitrox was not available and no recompression chamber was found in Mazatlán, so dive conservatively. The listings disagree on location (beside El Cid vs. 'Privada del Muelle, near Hotel Posada Freeman'). The coordinate marks the Golden Zone beach (OpenStreetMap 'Playa Gaviotas' node) and is not the shop's door, so confirm the location when booking.
