The Port Authority building and Customs and Immigration at Port Little Bay, where every visiting yacht must clear before landing crew, passengers or cargo.

Practical

Steps (Tourism Authority yachting page, 2026): 1) Notify Customs at least 24 hours ahead via SailClear (sailclear.com; annual SailClear subscription, Noonsite cites US$25), or use the SailClear terminal at the port entrance. 2) Call 'Montserrat Port' on VHF 16 on arrival for berthing instructions. 3) Report to the Port Authority main building with the SailClear notification number, last-port clearance and all passports (all crew go ashore). 4) Pay port dues at the Port Authority cashier, then back to Customs. 5) Sign four copies of the clearance certificate; the master's copy is valid 72 hours for both inbound and outbound, so a short stay can clear in and out at once. Customs hours Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, no clearance charge in hours. Port dues (2026): under 20 GRT EC$50 (US$19) arrival + EC$10 (US$4) port clearance; over 20 GRT EC$100 (US$37) + EC$10; manifested passengers EC$13.50 each. After-hours (minimum 2 hours per officer): weekdays EC$50 (up to 8 aboard) / EC$60 (more than 8); weekends and public holidays EC$60 / EC$75. Customs and the Port Authority are closed on public holidays. Port Authority +1 664 491 2791 / 2792; Customs customs@gov.ms, +1 664 491 3816. Passports must be valid 6 months beyond travel; some nationalities need a visa (immigration.ms).
