Middle Ground Trail
17° 0.4′ N · 61° 46.2′ W
Also called the Goat Track, this trail crosses the Middle Ground headland between Fort Berkeley and Pigeon Beach, past military ruins and over some of Antigua's most rugged scenery, with views down into both harbours.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap route. National Parks Authority describes it as 'ever-popular'; it passes Fort Cuyler and the Middle Ground gun emplacements and water cisterns (OSM). Start from Pigeon Beach (Falmouth side) or from the Dockyard via Fort Berkeley. Rocky and exposed: carry water and go early. Combine with a swim at Pigeon Beach at the end.
Best for
A half-morning walk linking the two harbours
