Nelson's Dockyard National Park Fees

17° 0.5′ N · 61° 45.9′ W · approximate

English and Falmouth Harbours lie inside Nelson's Dockyard National Park (about 16 square miles of land and sea), so every yacht anchored or berthed there pays National Parks fees on top of Port Authority charges. The money funds restoration, archaeology and conservation of the World Heritage Site.

Practical

Pin is the centre of the OpenStreetMap park polygon at the Dockyard; fees are paid at the Dockyard (Port Authority/Paymaster's Office) when clearing in. ABYMA: vessels anchored in English or Falmouth Harbour or berthed at Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua Slipway, Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Falmouth Harbour Marina or Catamaran Marina pay NPA fees in addition to Port Authority fees, and receipts must be shown even if you clear out from a different port. Noonsite reader reports (Jan 2022, verify locally): anchoring US$0.10 per ft per day, US$0.70 per ft per week, US$1.98 per ft per month, plus per-person environmental/garbage fees, and a landing fee of US$15 per person over 12 (US$7.50 for 12 and under). The NPA's conservation rules: avoid sewage discharge, use moorings instead of anchors where provided, respect speed limits and swim zones, never touch or remove marine life; motorized water sports are prohibited.
