Majors Bay Anchorage

17° 13.4′ N · 62° 38.9′ W

The last bay before Nevis at the tip of the Southeast Peninsula, where the Sea Bridge car ferry lands - sheltered from the north, with a trail to viewpoints and good snorkelling.

Practical

ActiveCaptain (Mar 2024): a great anchorage unless the wind has a south component; a trail leaves from the west end of the beach to good views. noforeignland users rate it 4.0/5 for shelter from northerly winds but note a narrow beach. Keep clear of the Sea Bridge ferry berth on the east side of the bay and its approach.

Best for

Shelter in northerly swell and a staging point for the Narrows

Season

Avoid with any southerly component
