Dark Cave
17° 37.4′ N · 61° 45.3′ W
A narrow entrance in the Highlands opens into a vast cavern of pools that was likely an Amerindian water source. It holds petroglyphs, bats and a rare blind shrimp.
Practical
Coordinate verified from Wikipedia (Dark Cave (Barbuda)). About two miles south of Darby Cave. Hard to find and involves real caving, so go only with an experienced local guide, with headlamps and a backup light. Do not touch the pools: they are habitat for the rare blind amphipod.
Best for
Serious caving with a local guide
