Colombier Trail
17° 55.1′ N · 62° 52.0′ W
The coastal footpath that links Colombier bay with the road at Flamands/Petite Anse and the Colombier lookout - the only land access to the bay, with views over Ile Fourchue, Ile Pele and Chevreau.
Practical
Position is the Colombier viewpoint (OpenStreetMap) above the bay. From the boat: steps at the south end of the beach climb to a fork - one branch to the Colombier lookout, the other along the coast to Petite Anse and Flamands (Blue Water Sailing). About 20-30 minutes from the end of Flamands/Petite Anse, 30-45 minutes from the lookout; rocky and steep in places, little shade - go early or late, wear proper shoes and carry water. Look for iguanas. Combine with the Colombier village bakery (La Petite Colombe) for bread.
Best for
A half-day walk from the moorings
