Barbuda has no market and no supermarket in the Antigua sense. A handful of village shops share the fresh produce that arrives on the boats each week. Lil Lincs Plus, the biggest, is two minutes from the lagoon wharf. Each shop also has its own entry: Lil Lincs Plus Supermarket, Follow The Flag, Lots of Choices Minimart, SunBees Bakery and Sha-Shy Store.
Practical
Coordinate verified: OpenStreetMap's Lil Lincs supermarket building (2015 survey) on Lagoon Street near the Fisheries wharf. Lil Lincs Plus (+1 268 770 1117) is air-conditioned and takes Visa and Mastercard. It stocks frozen meat and fish, dairy, dry goods and drinks, sells cooking gas, and has a water machine outside for refilling bottles. Follow The Flag (+1 268 775 0334) brings in fresh produce weekly and sometimes Barbuda honey. Lots of Choices Minimart (+1 268 774 4199) has wine, spirits and solar lights. SunBees Bakery, at Two Foot Bay Road and Mulatta (+1 268 775 6023), bakes bread before dawn and takes orders. Bagged ice is sold at the gas station, Lil Lincs and the Fisheries building. Fresh fruit and vegetables arrive on the Wednesday boat and on Saturday morning and sell out fast. Prices are well above Antigua's because everything is shipped in. Buy local fish, lobster and meat directly from producers. Provision fully in Antigua (Jolly Harbour, St John's) before you come. Most shops take cash only. The 2015 OpenStreetMap survey also lists convenience shops along River Road.
