Barbuda's annual festival, with a Caribana Queen show, teenage pageant, calypso competitions and weekend beach parties. The whole island and many Antiguan visitors join in.

Coordinate approx: Codrington village, where most events are staged; beach parties move around the island. Held each year in May and occasionally early June (Wikipedia); check exact dates with the Barbuda Council or Barbudaful before planning. Ferries fill up and accommodation books out. Note that the festival falls inside the lobster closed season (1 May-30 June).
