Sea Tiger Wreck
21° 15.6′ N · 157° 50.7′ W · approximate
A 190-foot cargo ship sitting upright in about 100 feet of water off Waikiki, among the best wreck penetrations in Hawaii with swim-throughs in the holds and bridge.
Practical
Approx and indicative only: no published position was found; the point is placed in deep water south of Waikiki and the Ala Wai approach, where operators describe it as a short boat ride from Waikiki. Do not use it as a dive waypoint; go with a Waikiki or Kewalo Basin operator, who use private moorings. Dive Oahu: about 100 ft to the sand, top of wreck about 60 ft, advanced divers, turtles, eagle rays, reef sharks, frogfish, sunk in 1999 for the artificial reef program. Island Divers Hawaii instead says it rests upright at 120 ft (typical dive 80-100 ft), was sunk in 1996 by a submarine company, and warns that silt, loose wires and narcosis make penetration dangerous without wreck training.
