Practical
STATUS: DOBOR lists Kikiaola CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE due to damage from heavy surf (page updated 9/10/26); staff are evaluating the facility. When open: 4 moorings for drafts under 3 ft, boat ramp, vessel washdown, loading dock, restrooms; phone (808) 335-8400. Coast Pilot: 1.6 miles west of the Waimea River, entered over the reef and protected by breakwaters, a privately maintained light on the west breakwater; use caution entering or leaving because of breakers combined with the 90-degree turn in the basin.
