Coast Pilot: depths of 2-3 fathoms, good protection from trade winds for small craft; east side rocky, northwest side sand beach; a breaking area extends 0.5 mile off Poo Point on the northwest side of the bay - give it a wide berth. Makaweli Reef (GNIS 21.9329, -159.6500) lies nearby. Coordinate is the USGS GNIS bay position (approx).
