Honokohau Harbor Fuel Dock

19° 40.2′ N · 156° 1.6′ W · approximate

The only fuel berth on the Big Island, to starboard just inside the Honokohau entrance, where cruisers take on fuel and water and can lie alongside briefly even when there is no visitor slip.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: placed just inside the harbor entrance on the starboard (south) side as Noonsite and Noodle's Notes describe; confirm on arrival. Noonsite: 'fuel berth to sta'bd at the harbor entrance'; the two DLNR visitor stern-tie berths are on this same first wharf. Noodle's Notes: you can tie up at the fuel dock for a while to take on fuel and water, and the fuel dock building houses a well-stocked convenience store. Berths here are also med-moor. Hours and current prices were not verified; call the harbor office, (808) 327-3685. Elsewhere on the coast there is no fuel dock: Kailua and Keauhou fuel is by jerry can or truck.
