Anchorage· Syvota Islets· Greece — Ionian, Saronic & Argolic
Sand-bar Bay (Syvota)
39° 24.0′ N · 20° 13.9′ E
The bay beside Bella Vraka, where a shallow sand bar links the offshore islet of Mourtemeno (Greek Wikipedia) to the mainland. The water over the white sand is so shallow that bathers wade across.
Practical
mySea gives 4-5 m. Charter guides list it among the Syvota anchorages. The bar itself is extremely shallow: anchor off its edge, not on it, and keep dinghies slow among the swimmers. Busy with day boats and beach-goers in summer. Bella Vraka beach (OSM 39.39937N 20.23546E) has coarse white sand and pebbles and is unorganised (Greek Wikipedia).
Best for
A swim stop over white sand
