The Aktio shore opposite Preveza is lined with boatyards: Cleopatra Shipyard, Aktio Marina and the Ionion (Ionian) Marina yard. Noonsite calls Preveza a popular place for winter storage, with three boatyards and marine technicians.
Practical
Coordinate is the Ionion Marina boatyard (OSM). A Noonsite member wintered at Ionian Marine in 2022-23 for the second time and found the staff very helpful and prices fairly cheap; outside contractors had to be registered at reception. Other Noonsite reports: Waypoint Sails at Aktio did good rigging work; some owners had disputes with yard-approved subcontractors and with a life-raft servicing firm over unquoted extras. Always get an itemised written quote. For DEKPA, transit-log and customs paperwork, several Noonsite users recommend the agent Sofia of 'All About Yacht', next to the Preveza Port Police (+30 26820 28316).
