Poros has a marine-equipment shop in town and two small boatyards at Plaka on the mainland shore south-east of the strait, the only haul-out and winter-storage option between Aegina and Ermioni.

Coordinates are the 'Poros Marine' boat shop/yard mapped by OpenStreetMap at Plaka (37.4879N 23.46863E). The Eagleray guide text on the Poros Port Fund site: 'There is a marine equipment shop (22980 25173)... Two boatyards in the area of Plaka (south of the island Lazareto).' Noonsite lists Plaka Boatyard and a user (2019) recommends the chandlery run by the Pavalou brothers in the town square. YBW forum posts (2010-2011) describe Poros Marine at Plaka as a small, affordable yard that fills up early for winter; that information is old, so contact the yard directly. Do NOT try the strait between Plaka and Lazareto islet: rocks above and below water make it impassable (Eagleray).
